- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
🥣 Instructions

2. Add egg yolks (if using)
- Beat egg yolks in a small bowl
- Add a few tablespoons of the milk mixture to temper them
- Then mix back into the saucepan
3. Cook
- Place saucepan over medium heat
- Stir constantly until mixture thickens (5–8 minutes)
- It should coat the back of a spoon
4. Finish
- Remove from heat
- Stir in butter and vanilla
- Mix until smooth and glossy
5. Chill
- Pour into serving bowls
- Cover surface with plastic wrap (touching the pudding to prevent skin)
- Refrigerate for 2–3 hours
🍨 Serve
- Serve chilled or slightly warm
- Optional toppings: fresh fruit, caramel, chocolate, or nuts
💡 Tips
- Constant stirring prevents lumps
- Don’t boil aggressively—it can curdle eggs
- Use whole milk for creamier texture
- Add extra vanilla for stronger flavor
🍮 Variations
- Caramel custard: add caramel sauce on top
- Chocolate custard: mix in cocoa powder or melted chocolate
- Fruit custard: top with mixed fruits
- Eggless version: skip yolks and add extra 1 tbsp cornstarch
