🥦 Crispy Roasted Cauliflower
🧾 Ingredients
- 1 medium cauliflower head, cut into florets
- 3 tablespoons olive oil (or vegetable oil)
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika (adds color + smoky flavor)
- ½ teaspoon chili powder or cayenne (optional for spice)
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan (optional, for extra crispiness)
🔥 Instructions
1. Preheat oven
- Set oven to 220°C (425°F)
- Line a baking tray with parchment paper
2. Prep cauliflower
- Wash and dry cauliflower thoroughly
- Cut into evenly sized florets (important for even roasting)
3. Season
In a large bowl, toss:
- Cauliflower florets
- Olive oil
- Salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, chili powder
Mix well so everything is coated evenly.
4. Roast
- Spread cauliflower in a single layer on tray
- Do not overcrowd (this helps crisping)
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway
5. Extra crisp (optional but recommended)
- Sprinkle Parmesan in the last 5–7 minutes
- Broil/grill for 2–3 minutes until golden and crispy edges form
🍽️ Serve
- Serve hot as a side dish or snack
- Great with yogurt dip, garlic sauce, or spicy mayo
💡 Tips for Maximum Crispiness
- Dry cauliflower completely before seasoning
- High heat is key (don’t reduce temperature)
- Space pieces apart—steam prevents crisping
- Add a little cornstarch (1 tsp) for extra crunch
🌶️ Flavor Variations
- Indian-style: turmeric + cumin + garam masala
- Asian-style: soy sauce + sesame oil + chili flakes
- Cheesy version: mozzarella or cheddar added at end
- Lemon garlic: lemon zest + fresh garlic after roasting
